she works hard for the money
i’m employed! i’m employed!
yayyyyyyyyy
hehe, here’s the timeline:
Thursday: i applied to the temp agency online.
Friday: They called me and set up an interview time.
Monday: Went in to the office on Monday for an interview. (1.5hrs long!!)
Tuesday: Did online evaluations at home.
Thursday: Called them to find out how i scored.
Thursday: Got a call about a job.
Friday: Went to work.
it seems kinda long when i write it like that.
technically they found me a job in two days.
yay for them!
the title for this post is TOTALLY not true.
i basically ‘check my brain at the door’ for this job.
i describe it as office style assembly work.
instead of machinery i have paper.
it’s a good job though.
the people are nice, and the pay is good.
it’s basic basic clerical work.
weee! no answering phones!
the company is the Financial part of a North American car company.
it’s my first time working for a large company (vs. a small business w/ less than 10 staff members) and i like the atmosphere!
there seem to be a lot of different dynamics…
random people seem to be stopping by all the time.
(although perhaps i just think they’re random but they actually ’stop by’ all the time…and maybe i think they’re different people, but it’s actually the same 2 people who keep coming back.)
i guess the best part is that the ‘facilities’ are nice and new….
and there’s free coffee and hot chocolate! (Starbucks coffee and hot choco from a machine!!)
lol. that’s not gonna be good for me.
i have a feeling i’m gonna get addicted to coffee while i try to stay away from the sugar-filled chocolate.
oh well. it was bound to happen sometime.
