finally!
There were ’switching problems’ on the subway this morning.
it was brutal. it took twice as long to get to the office. (so, it took an hour.)
it could’ve been worse though. no one within smelling distance had B.O. so i was thankful for that.
I was standing the whole time, but I had the sense to get away from the doors when we reached Bloor Station. it was crazy! like just a solid wall of people on the edge of the platform.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen people push so much to get on the subway.
I’m very glad I wasn’t in that mosh pit of people. it looked disgusting. armpits in your face… people touching you everywhere…
yuck.
and then I finally walk into the office and the info screen in the foyer says something like: ‘the entire computer system isn’t working. we’ll let you know when we get it working again.’
ahhhh!
so that means, no access to our work files… and no email.
and no internet.
hah, what do you do?!
needless to say, there were many Solitare games being played.
Someone suggested we have a tournament to see who could get the highest score.
Sadly, I wasn’t able to enjoy in the festivities as much as some of the others b/c I was in a meeting all day. (shucks!)
but the computer system was up and running again around 12:30, so that was good.
anyways, i’m very excited:
1. I’ve resolved to sit down and do my grocery shopping tonight! ..it’s the ultimate in laziness I guess, b/c not only am I opting to do it online, but I’ve also been procrastinating this for the past week. my fridge is pretty bare now though, so it must get done!
(that said, if anyone else wants to do some online grocery shopping, let me know before you sign up and I’ll send you a ‘Refer-a-friend’ email. You’ll get $10 off your first order! And I’ll get $10 off my next order! “sweeet!” oh, the site I’m using is GroceryGateway.com. check it out! it’s actually a pretty reasonably priced!
2. I just downloaded a whole bunch of interesting podcasts! (YAY! they DO exist!!)
Thanks to Cecilia for introducing me to TEDTalks! I watched my first one on the subway home from work today. (yay VIDEO podcasts!) It was very thought-provoking…..I don’t think I agree with the artist…but it was thought-provoking nonetheless.
anyways, I went to Dundas Square this past Sunday with the fam.

JUMBO BALLOONS!
:)
and i finally took my new ring off my finger long enough to take a picture of it.

oak leafy goodness.
