another day, another documentary
I randomly came across this documentary on tv called “Chichester’s Choice: The Story”. It’s about the filmmaker’s search to find out about her father, and to find him on the streets in Brazil.
or as the website says:
“Simonee Chichester investigates the life of her homeless father, Edgar Chichester, who left when she was six years old. 23 years later, Simonee journeys to the streets of Brazil to reunite with Edgar in the hopes of understanding him and herself. “
I came across it about 80% into the film, but it still had me crying within 10 minutes.
it was good.
I imagine the first 80% was quite interesting as well.
Right now I’m watching another documentary (I LOVE TVO!!!) which features people from across the pond.
love the accent.
speaking of which, during work on Friday I had the opportunity to call someone from Virginia. His accent was fantastic!! (so much so that after I hung up the phone, I got up and when to a coworker’s desk to exclaim that he had one of the best accents ever!)
I have spoken with other ‘Virginians’ before and haven’t been nearly as impressed, so it may have been a combination of this guy’s actual voice and his accent. …and maybe his pleasant-ness.
anyways,
This club, The Fifth, is located close to where I work. I like their logo:
