I made an impromptu decision to go buy a book, so at 8:45pm last night I exclaimed: “It’s almost 9 o’clock! That’s closin’ time!” And I hurried out my apartment and over to my neighbourhood BMV bookstore.
And picked up these:

They didn’t have the book I wanted, so I went across the street to Chapters.

They have a table labeled: “You should have read these by now”

The table included:
- Great Expectations
- Life of Pi
- To Kill a Mockingbird
- Marley & Me
- The Handmaid’s Tale
- Pride and Prejudice

…wait a second, “Marley & Me” ?? Really??

I’m sitting in a car with my laptop in my lap (conveniently) and my iPod plugged into the car’s sound system.
It’s great. (and random)

(oh! he released an album in June! argh - it’s so hard to stay on top of these things!!)

anyways, it’s a long story as to why I’m in the car. but since I’ve been sitting here, it has started raining and now I dunno if I can make a mad dash to the front door without getting my computer wet.
…maybe I’ll just stay in the car and take a nap!

— Baking Bits writes about baking cookies inside a hot car. you can enjoy a snack after a long day at the office!

I just found out about the Scribbles project!

I love it!

Here’s a list:

#1. I’m feel bad.
well, not really “bad”. ..more like pitiful. and upset. and frustrated.
I’m being asked/told to do things I don’t want to do, and I wish I was strong enough or confident enough to refuse.
I suppose it’s a learning experience.

#2. I had this conversation with a streetcar driver yesterday:
(streetcar doors open and I board the car.)
driver: “hi!”
me: “hi!”
driver: “thanks for smiling!”
me: “thanks!”
heh ‘thanks for smiling’! isn’t that fun?
[so okay, yes, I realize I didn’t actually think before I said ‘thanks’. I was caught off-guard! So I guess he says ‘hi’ to passengers and they don’t smile back at him? What’s up with that!?]
