another trip to the bookstore(s)
I made an impromptu decision to go buy a book, so at 8:45pm last night I exclaimed: “It’s almost 9 o’clock! That’s closin’ time!” And I hurried out my apartment and over to my neighbourhood BMV bookstore.
And picked up these:
They didn’t have the book I wanted, so I went across the street to Chapters.
They have a table labeled: “You should have read these by now”
The table included:
- Great Expectations
- Life of Pi
- To Kill a Mockingbird
- Marley & Me
- The Handmaid’s Tale
- Pride and Prejudice
…wait a second, “Marley & Me” ?? Really??
anyways,
I also picked up this book while I was there:
“Mumbo Jumbo” …how could I resist?
I’ve read two and watched one…watching = reading, no? haha.
Perhaps I should go read one of those other ones. maybe Marley and Me
Wait. Did we read To Kill a Mockingbird in highschool? I don’t recall if I ever did…. particularly bc I can’t even think of what the book is about… hum…

I’ve read 3 and watched 3! LOL. Actually, I’ve watched 4, if you count different film adaptations/versions.

haha Manz - I don’t think To Kill a Mockingbird was required. I think I saw the movie.

when do you have time to read all these books you buy? cats cradle is good, that’s all I remember about it
I will have to look into those other ones..unless you give them poor reviews.
i’ve read three, possibly four (p&p not sure) of those “have already read” books and haven’t see any of the films because i didn’t know they were all also movies lol

I don’t think Life of Pi is a movie…yet.
So apparently I just continuously buy books. I’m still working on the first book of the pile of books that I’ve bought recently. I think I’m a slow reader.
that, and I don’t have a good reading armchair.
I think if I did, I spend more time reading.

Can u imagine if Life of Pi WAS a movie?!? that’d be one crazy movie that may actually make me a little sick to my stomach at some parts, depending on how real they make it heh.

nah - I was thinking more along the lines of decaying animals and such. or a sickly animal eating another dead animal. I do not like such thoughts…even tho I eat meat….
