distracted
I’m *supposed* to be making zillions of cards tonight.
somehow, I end up on looking at ways to completely redo my website. oh dear.
So I went to Metro Hall for lunch today with a coworker and we passed by a film crew. They had a sign that said something like ‘The Rick Mercer Report is filming right now, and by being in this area, you consent to possibly being included in the taping…”
or something along those lines.
Anyways, when I read ‘Rick Mercer Report’ on the sign, I told my friend - “Thank goodness Rick Mercer isn’t here, or else I’ll revert to a school girl and start screaming…” (you know, “IT’S RICK MERCER!!!”)
a couple seconds later, my friend says: ‘wait… isn’t that him right there?’

IT WAS TOTALLY HIM!
AND I TOTALLY STARTED SCREAMING!
just joking.. can you imagine?
It turns out, in situations such as these, my shyness goes into full force. I didn’t take any pictures, didn’t say hello… even when he finished taping his section and sat in a seat behind us.
So now I’m interested to see what my reaction will be if I see the FlashPoint crew filming downtown. I still think I’d completely lose it. (”IT’S HUGH DILLON!!!!!”)
but anyways, Mercer’s skit was fairly comical. At one point he yells out, “I’M GLAD I’M STERILE!” at the top of his lungs.
When he did the first take we chuckled. I was prepared to start clapping after the director said ‘cut’. But the only other people around were the crew, and they weren’t impressed at all.
They had him do a couple retakes and it was funny each time.
Teresa Pavlinek was also there filming something, so that was fun.

I used to watch The Jane Show during my unemployed days.
