Corfu, Greecce

Our second stop.
The plan: me and my sis walk around for hours.

first, here's the required 'alley' pic:

This place was perhaps one of the more relaxing places on the trip...
we literally walked all over the place...
like into residential neighbourhoods and whatnot...
here's one:

so we of course went to the shopping area as well...

i think i wrote before about how the ground was particularly slippery... the pic above is an example...don't the steps look slippery?!

here's a pic i tried to take secretly:

all over Corfu, and even in other cities/countries we saw this bright orange alcoholic drink....it's also a syrup or something. it was packaged nicely in glass bottles.
This particular merchant had samples out for us tourists to taste.

oh. my. goodness.
seriously, it tasted like cough syrup.
i'm not even joking.
it brought back memories of Triaminicol we would take as children.
brutal. just brutal.

anyways, here's a random pic of a lizard.... because i like the take random pics of foreign animals. :)

so as we were walking around we came across the Vogue Cafe.

my sister was adamant that we stay there...so we sat down to have a drink.
some guys were playing backgammon, so we started to play...

UNO!
i think i lost all the games...
bummer.

so, at the water's edge there was some kinda castle:

i'm not quite sure what the deal was....but it was cool.

we went where the man is standing (in the above pic) and put our feet in the water.
(that's what made the place relaxing. :)

the water was SO clear and clean!! little fish were swimming in it!!

the end...
